I watched FMA when I was about 12, and it's one of my favorite animes of all time, in my top 20. But when I heard there was going to be a new FMA remake, I was unsure. Could it live up to the glory of it's older brother? Along with the bad press surrounding it, I was reluctant to watch it, and avoided it. Until recently. Bored, I started watching it. IT IS AMAZING. The plot is supposed to follow the manga, unlike the first, and it is pretty evident in the way it completly brushed past the fillers of the old one and cuts straight to the chase with the meat of the series. So far, I am loving it, and I cannot wait to watch the next episode. If you wanna check it out, Hulu has 6 episodes so far, but if that doesn't satisfy you, I watched up to episode 9 here. You have to sign up for a membership, but it's well worth it for the extra 3 episodes, imho.
I went to Uwajimaya yesterday and got a .5mm Jetstream ,a Preppy fountain pen, and an Apica Composition Book, so I thought I would finally take some pics, review the Apica, and post that long due review of my Moleskine.
On to the Apica Notebook.
It's a beige notebook, A4 size, spiral. As with a lot of other Asian styled notebooks, the top has a place for a title, and the the lines are 7mm, my favorite. I always hated wide ruled, opting for college ruled, and I love that I can get paper that has even smaller lines. I can't wait to give it a test run on Monday in Chem class. The paper is smooth, it takes the Preppy and the Hi-Tec-C perfectly, and overall it's a really enjoyable writing experience. I'd rate it a 9/10.

And last but not least, the Moleskine.
I wanted a Moleskine ever since the first time I heard of one, but I guess BlackCover was right when they wanted something more. The moleskine is a good notebook, and it gets the job done, but it leaves me wanting more. The paper could be nicer, the cover is kinda cheap, and the most annoying is that it doesn't lay open FLAT. I have to write on a wall or a flat surface and keep it open the whole time if I wanna jot down some ideas while out and about. All in all, the construction could be much better...

And that's it. I'll be reviewing the Jetsteam and the Preppy soon, and then after that the Uni Style Fit and the Kuru Toga HG when they get here. Here's the link to the Flickr Set.
I really love JetPens. I do. I check it probably 3 times a day, just out of habit. But they didn't have the Uni Style Fit, OR the Kuru Toga High Grade! Infact, it seems as if Jstationary get's all the cool new pens and pencils before JetPens. Such a shame. So yesterday, I ordered 1 Kuru Toga HG .3mm, 4 .38mm gel cartriges, and 1 .7mm ballpoint cartrige for the Uni Style Fit(5 cartrige black version). It should be coming soon, and I'll do a review of it when it comes(I promise this time!) I was sad that the pencil cartrige for the Style FIT was sold out, as was the black version of the Kuru Toga HG, but I guess I'll have to make due for now.
I finally ordered a pocket moleskine, after having wanted one for .... forever! It should come in 4-8 days, and when it does, I'll do a review on it with my mediocre pen collection. Until then, I'll be working on that UAPAC website, so I can buy more pens haha!
So my brother just got me a gig creating a ctm site for one of his friend's political party. I think it pays 300$, and it should be relatively easy. I'm pretty excited, for the extra cash, and for the experience. Here's hoping this all goes over well.
I've recently become totally in love with pens/pencils/paper, so I'm going to start using this blog for reviews! I should have my first one up by tomorrow.

What's up? It's veteran's day, and I'm at my volunteer place down in Seattle.
Today I took my daily route to downtown Seattle, but it's starting to get kinda..... what's the word for it... repetitive? I left my house at 1:30 and get on the 118 at 1:44 which takes me down to the aurora village(Costco and home depot), where I wait for 10 minutes for the 358. Now, the 358 is a horrible bus. I can understand if you want to take it to get to places on aurora, but for the long trip down to Seattle it takes an hour and thirty minutes. Now, in my mind that's ridiculous. There should be other alternatives to get to downtown Seattle, and if there aren't, the 358 should at least be faster. Also, I accidentally left my umbrella on the bus. What am I supposed to do about that? I think the bus system needs some changes. Or at least make it faster. What do you guys think?
